Description
The Assembly Technician (Mechanical) assembles mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products using work instructions, engineering drawings, and quality standards. The role involves reading and interpreting drawings and bills of materials, using hand and power tools, installing and securing components, performing adjustments and functional checks, inspecting assemblies, documenting production and quality information, maintaining a safe work area, and meeting production schedules. A high school diploma or GED and previous mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience are preferred, along with basic mechanical aptitude, tool and measuring-tool skills, attention to detail, teamwork, reliability, and the ability to perform physically demanding work.
