Description
The Assembly Process Engineer designs, develops, and optimizes assembly processes and equipment in manufacturing or production environments. The role oversees setup, maintenance, calibration, and safe use of assembly tools and machinery; monitors machining and assembly quality; troubleshoots production issues; trains operators; documents processes and PFMEA; analyzes machine performance and cycle-time data; and coordinates with design, production, quality assurance, and maintenance teams. The position typically requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering, along with knowledge of mechanics, CAD, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and analytical troubleshooting.
