Description
The Journeyman Technician performs repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly of electronic and mechanical assemblies, including aircraft structures, modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. The role uses drawings, jigs, fixtures, hand and power tools, continuity checks, quality inspections, serviceability tests, and FAA- or repair-station-manual procedures. Responsibilities also include modifying and testing experimental or prototype assemblies, documenting work, and submitting completed work for quality assurance and airworthiness certification. The position requires a high school or GED, intermediate technical skills, and generally 2–4 years or more of experience in assembly, mechanical, electrical, or aircraft-structures work; A&P and structures experience are preferred.
