Telemundo Houston is hiring a full-time Assignment Desk Editor to support the efficient operation of its assignment desk and breaking-news coverage. The role involves assembling the daybook, monitoring police and emergency scanners, coordinating field crews, developing story ideas, supporting news gathering across broadcast, digital, FAST, and web platforms, publishing online content, editing videos, and maintaining relationships with public information officers and other newsroom personnel. The position requires fluency in Spanish and English, prior assignment-editor or related experience, Houston-market familiarity, unrestricted United States work authorization, a valid driver’s license, and availability for a 24x7 schedule, including weekends and holidays.
