WMUR, the ABC affiliate in Manchester, New Hampshire, is seeking an Assignment Editor to lead daily newsroom assignment and breaking-news coverage. Reporting to the News Director, the role listens to police scanners, evaluates tips and press releases, plans and coordinates story gathering, tracks field crews, supports producers and reporters, and publishes content across digital platforms including push alerts and social media. The position requires scanner-listening and digital-platform experience, familiarity with FTP and local newsgathering technology, strong multitasking and communication abilities, composure during breaking news, and availability for nights and weekends.
