University of Florida’s College of Medicine is hiring a tenure-track faculty member for a 12-month teaching and research position in Artificial Intelligence in Biomedical and Health Sciences. The role involves teaching graduate AI courses, mentoring students, and building an independent research program in AI applied to medicine and the biomedical sciences. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in computer science or a related field, strong expertise in AI/ML and deep learning, proficiency with Python, PyTorch, and Linux/command line, familiarity with LLM concepts including in-context learning, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, tools/chains, and agents, plus teaching experience. Preferred qualifications include healthcare or biomedical domain experience, clinical or biomedical training, experience across teaching modalities, and a publication/funding record.
