Virginia Tech is hiring two tenure-track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor positions in the Department of Finance, Insurance and Business Law. The positions are based in Blacksburg, Virginia, with an expected start date of August 2027 and applications reviewed on a rolling basis until the positions are filled. Candidates must have a doctoral degree in finance or a closely related discipline by August 10, 2027, and must demonstrate teaching effectiveness, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to publish in top-tier finance journals. The Assistant Professor rank requires potential for top-tier publication, while the Associate Professor rank requires an outstanding academic record, national or international recognition, and top-tier publications. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
