Description

North Carolina A&T State University is hiring a non-tenured track faculty Assistant/Associate Professor of Practice – 4H Youth Development Specialist for its Cooperative Extension program. The role leads research-based statewide Extension programs focused on agricultural literacy and youth development, manages program development and evaluation, and provides training and educational materials to field staff and community audiences. It is a permanent full-time 40-hour-per-week position housed in the Department of Agribusiness, Applied Economics and AgriScience Education, with an earned doctorate and at least three years of program planning, implementation, and evaluation experience required.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Earned doctorate in Agricultural Education, Extension Education, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Youth Development, or a related field; applicants with a doctorate in progress may be considered, with the degree required by the date of hire.
Required Previous Experiences: At least three years of experience in program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Preferred Qualifications: Five or more years of professional experience in Cooperative Extension program development.
Experience planning, implementing, marketing, and evaluating educational programs for limited-resource youth.
Experience in community-based non-formal education settings.
Experience working with community-based volunteers or organizations.
Ability to engage with external constituencies, including businesses, agencies, and foundations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Office.
Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple demands and prioritize.
