North Carolina A&T State University is hiring an Assistant/Associate Professor of Practice – Extension Controlled Environment Agriculture Specialist for a permanent, full-time, twelve-month non-tenured track faculty position in Cooperative Extension. The role leads research-based statewide Extension programs for small farms, develops and evaluates educational programs covering greenhouse production, high tunnels, indoor food production, mushrooms, vertical farming, microgreens, and hydroponics, and seeks external research funding. Applicants need a doctorate in a relevant agricultural or food systems field and at least three years of Extension, educational programming, or related experience; five or more years of Cooperative Extension program development experience is preferred. The position is based in the College of Ag & Environ Sciences and may be eligible for a remote or hybrid arrangement consistent with university and state policies.
