The Penobscot Bay YMCA is hiring a full-time Assistant Child Care Teacher in Rockport, Maine, to support Lead Teachers in an early childhood classroom. The role involves active supervision, age-appropriate learning activities, positive behavior guidance, documentation, family communication, classroom maintenance, and participation in training and professional development. Candidates must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED, hold CPR, First Aid, and AED certification, and complete Child Abuse Prevention Training within 30 days of hire; prior early childhood experience is preferred. The position offers a Monday-Friday schedule, paid holidays, health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, and pays $18-$22 per hour.
