Description
The Assistant Commissioner – Older Adult Centers reports to the Chief Program Officer and oversees the daily operations of more than 300 Older Adult Centers serving approximately 150,000 individuals annually. The role supervises staff, interns, volunteers, program officers, and supervisors; manages contracts, technical assistance, site visits, documentation, data, records, budgets, and invoices; standardizes oversight practices; leads projects addressing service gaps; uses performance data to guide program redesign; builds internal partnerships; and supports emergency and seasonal initiatives. Candidates must have a baccalaureate degree and five years of full-time professional experience in social services, community relations, public administration, or management, including at least 1.5 years in an administrative or managerial capacity, or equivalent education and experience.
