Description
The County-level Accounting Specialist supports the Comptroller and Chief Financial Officer with professional accounting duties, including financial record maintenance, monthly and year-end closing, general ledger management, GAAP/GASB financial reporting, budget adjustments, audit support, and guidance to county officials and staff. The role also provides backup to the Comptroller, leads and trains Accounting Clerks, and may supervise assigned accounting staff. Applicants need a bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent education and experience, plus two years of related work experience, and must pass a criminal history check and driving screening.
