Description
Resources for Community Development (RCD), a Berkeley-based nonprofit affordable housing developer and owner, is seeking an Assistant Controller to support corporate and portfolio accounting, audits, general accounting, grant administration, and accounting team management. The role involves overseeing property and corporate audits, preparing financial statements and audit schedules, supervising staff, improving systems and processes, and working in a hybrid model with occasional Bay Area travel. The position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, 2+ years as an accounting manager with direct staff management, GAAP knowledge, audit experience, and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
