Description
The Assistant Controller leads a team responsible for the University’s financial records, accounting policies, financial reporting, audits, compliance, receivables, and revenue management. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President and Controller, the role oversees monthly and year-end close activities, reconciliations, financial statements, Workday Finance, IRS and other regulatory filings, and internal controls. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, at least 10 years of progressively responsible experience including five years managing staff, higher education or not-for-profit accounting experience, audit oversight experience, CPA certification, Excel proficiency, and Workday experience. It is primarily in-person on campus, with hybrid arrangements possible on a case-by-case basis, and offers a salary of $135,000–$145,000 per year plus medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other benefits.
