Description
The Cook Assistant supports the meals program by preparing and distributing food, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, managing inventory, supporting dining-room cleanliness, coordinating with volunteers and community partners, and reporting food, kitchen, donation, security, and safety issues. The role reports to the Kitchen Manager, requires a high school diploma or GED or demonstrated kitchen experience, and involves extended standing and lifting 50 pounds. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM, including a one-hour unpaid lunch break, for 35 hours per week.
