Description
The Assistant Department Manager will provide managerial direction, leadership, and technical oversight for interns, designers, and assistant-level engineers in the Substation Department of the T&D Global Practice in Puerto Rico. The role combines people management, project coordination, recruiting, training, performance development, client interaction, proposal support, and business improvement, while also contributing technically to high-voltage substation design, QA/QC, and field inspections. The position requires an engineering-related bachelor’s degree, five years of relevant experience, strong communication and project management skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, and a Professional Engineering license, with preference for recruiting, performance feedback, and data-tracking tool experience.
