Description
New York Eastern Probation is hiring an Assistant Deputy Chief U.S. Probation Officer to lead, direct, and supervise staff in the Presentence Division and assist with administration and management across the district. The role oversees office operations, supervisory probation officers and support staff, evidence-based programs, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, staffing, budgets, policies, audits, case-work quality, and coordination with courts and other agencies. The incumbent will work primarily from the New York office with travel to the Central Islip office as needed and must be a current Assistant Deputy Chief U.S. Probation Officer or Supervisory U.S. Probation Officer with at least one year in the respective position.
