Description
The Assistant Deputy Director will lead the City of San Diego Public Utilities Department’s Dam Safety team and oversee its Dam Safety Program, including program planning, technical studies, project design and delivery, regulatory compliance, budget preparation, and coordination with engineering, planning, operations, consultants, and external stakeholders. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, public administration, or a related field and seven years of progressively responsible leadership experience; a California Professional Civil Engineer registration and major dam project experience are desirable.
