Description

The Assistant Distribution Engineer will assist a licensed professional engineer and project team with the design, preparation, and construction support of 2.4kV to 34.5kV overhead and underground utility distribution projects. Responsibilities include developing distribution voltage packages, preparing sketches and cost estimates, performing cable-pulling, voltage-drop, and pole-loading calculations, supporting field inspections, coordinating vegetation and right-of-way matters, and presenting project results. The role requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related engineering field, with an engineering degree plus successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam as an alternative pathway; ABET accreditation, internship or consulting experience, distribution design software, and EIT certification are preferred. Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country where the position is located.
