Description
The Bridgeport Port Jefferson Ferry is hiring a Licensed Third Assistant Engineer to support the Chief Engineer and Captain in maintaining and servicing the vessel’s engine room, main and auxiliary machinery, boilers, generators, steering equipment, and bow thruster. The role also supervises Oilers and Wipers, coordinates engineering supplies, supports safety and security duties, and may instruct crew on Sinex use. Applicants must hold a current U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential, a Third Assistant Engineer License, a valid TWIC, a high school diploma or equivalent, and pass a drug test and physical. The position pays $596.89 and is exempt under FLSA.
