Description
The Assistant Engineer- Communications (Design) will plan, coordinate, and oversee communications-related testing, inspection, repairs, maintenance, field operations, project work, budgets, safety programs, and continuous improvement at the Long Island Rail Road. The role manages and develops field and office personnel, conducts investigations, supports 24/7 operational needs, and may work from home one day per week. It requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, relevant communications or telecommunications experience, technical troubleshooting ability, leadership and project-management skills, and availability on a 24/7 basis.
