This role involves managing a modern farrow-to-wean, sow farm under the supervision of the Farm Manager. The Assistant Farm Manager supports various aspects of farm operations, including breeding, farrowing, employee management, barn operations, and financial oversight. Key responsibilities include providing leadership, coaching staff, ensuring animal well-being, performing routine tasks like shipping, treating, and processing pigs, and maintaining detailed records. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, a passion for working with animals, and excellent communication skills, capable of lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods in a noisy outdoor farming environment.
