Smithfield is hiring a plant operations leader to assist the General Manager in directing and managing a large meat-processing site. The role oversees product quality, profitability, safety, security, budgeting, labor and yield performance, employee relations, and support functions including HR/Safety, Food Safety/QA, Accounting, Maintenance, and Production. It requires a bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Business, or a related field plus 8+ years of plant-management experience, including at least 2 years in leadership, along with manufacturing, food-safety, regulatory, SAP, Microsoft Office, communication, analytical, and workforce-management skills. The position works in a physically demanding plant environment, requires 10% travel and nights/weekends, and offers relocation assistance.
