Chess Wizards is hiring Assistant Instructors for its fall after-school chess enrichment program in Washington, DC. The role supports a Chess Instructor with elementary students, provides one-on-one or small-group chess instruction, manages the classroom, follows the curriculum and safety protocols, and travels to local school sites. Compensation is $35–$40 per class, with flexible weekday-afternoon availability of 1–5 classes per week and mileage reimbursement for trips exceeding 15 miles one way. Candidates need a strong grasp of chess fundamentals, reliable transportation, and the ability to work with children; prior teaching, tutoring, or camp-counseling experience is a plus.
