Virginia Tech is hiring an Assistant Manager for Turner Place in Blacksburg, Virginia. Reporting to the unit operations manager, the role supports menu and personnel planning, customer relations, sales and register transactions, safety and sanitation, building and equipment security, employee supervision and development, and performance evaluations. The position requires commercial food-service operations knowledge, food-safety and OSHA knowledge, scheduling and inventory-system experience, and electronic cash-register experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., with varied nights, weekends, holidays, and as-needed work. The advertised salary is $43,888 to $47,000 per year, with a 40-hour work week and no overtime eligibility.
