Description
The Meat Department Associate assists the Meat Manager in operating a profitable meat department by maintaining product quality, assortment, pricing, sanitation, inventory, and production levels; preparing and grinding meats; providing customer service; supporting scheduling and ordering; and training and mentoring associates. The role requires a Food Handler’s Permit, familiarity with meat preparation, strong organization and communication skills, and availability for weekends, evenings, and holidays. A high school diploma or GED, some college education, and one year of meat department experience are preferred.
