WM is hiring an Assistant Mechanic Technician to work under supervision in a repair and maintenance shop at its Newark, New Jersey hauling site. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, testing, and documenting vehicles and mechanical equipment, performing preventive maintenance, supporting other technicians, and maintaining a safe work environment. No prior experience is required, but applicants must be at least 18, legally eligible to work, and hold a valid driver’s license upon hire. The position offers $23.79–$29.72 per hour, stable Monday–Friday hours with occasional Saturdays, and benefits including healthcare, dental, vision, a tool allowance, education assistance, and a 401(k) match.
