The Assistant Municipal Counselor provides legal services and guidance to the City of Oklahoma City, its officers, and departments, including representing the City in federal and state courts, handling land-use and development matters, advising municipal boards and commissions, and drafting legal documents. The role requires admission or eligibility for admission to practice law in Oklahoma and federal courts, knowledge of applicable laws and ordinances, and skills in legal writing, communication, research, and oral presentation.
