Description
The University of Birmingham is recruiting an Assistant or Associate Professor in Digital Manufacturing for its School of Engineering. The role combines original research in artificial intelligence, digital manufacturing, robotics, machine learning, digital twins, and physics-informed models with teaching, supervision, curriculum development, and departmental or school-level leadership. Candidates should have an engineering or computer science background and a PhD; experience with mechanical engineering, industry stakeholders, multidisciplinary research teams, and grant pursuit is desirable. The position is full time and permanent, with two openings available at either Assistant or Associate Professor level, and offers starting salaries of £47,389–£56,535 or £58,225–£67,468 depending on the grade, with potential progression.
