Description
The Assistant Press Operator sets up and operates a printing machine, prepares and stages stock, checks sheets for defects, supports press setup and maintenance, maintains supplies and a clean work environment, and may lead a crew when the Second Press Operator is absent. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer and mechanical skills, English communication and mathematical abilities, and the ability to perform physically demanding work in a noisy, dusty printing environment. The schedule is three 12-hour night shifts from 6:15 p.m. to 6:15 a.m. at the Downtown Plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
