The University of Hawai'i at Manoa is hiring an Assistant Professor (F-3) in Spatial Statistics and Geospatial Artificial Intelligence (GeoAI) for a nine-month, full-time, permanent, tenure-track appointment beginning August 1, 2027, subject to position clearance and availability of funds. The role combines research in spatial statistics, statistical learning, machine learning, and AI applied to geographic processes with teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, mentoring students, developing an active research program, seeking extramural funding, and serving the department and university. Applicants need a Ph.D. in a relevant field, expertise in spatial statistics or spatial statistical modeling and data science or AI applied to geospatial data, proficiency in Python and/or R, and a record of research achievement.
