Description
The New York City Department of Environmental Protection is hiring an Assistant Mechanical Engineer to serve as an Assistant Project Manager for the Wastewater Capital Program in Queens, NY. Reporting to an Accountable Manager, the role supports wastewater capital project design and construction, including schedule and cost coordination, consultant contract modifications, environmental health and safety, client service, permit monitoring, risk mitigation, quality monitoring, field surveys, and field investigations. The position requires permanent Civil Service Assistant Mechanical Engineer status, a relevant bachelor's degree and experience, and the ability to perform fieldwork and operate a motor vehicle.
