Description
The Assistant Sample Maker supports the Costume Shop seamstress team by constructing costumes for Sight and Sound Theatre productions during costume build seasons and seasonally assisting the Costumes Sample Maker with prototype construction. The role involves garment construction, sample making, fitting and alteration support, problem-solving, timeline coordination, and use of home and industrial sewing machines, sergers, and pressing equipment. The position requires strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, self-management, and the ability to work physically active and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
