Description
The Assistant Shift Leader supports the Shift Leader in coordinating people, production, quality, safety, and technical activity across an assigned shift. The role provides hands-on floor leadership, staffing and handoff coordination, employee coaching, production documentation, routine equipment and process troubleshooting, and day-to-day shift leadership when the Shift Leader is absent. It requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of production leadership or comparable manufacturing experience, manufacturing safety and quality knowledge, computer skills, and documented qualification for assigned machines, molds, robots, hot-stamp systems, and other processes. The position involves standing, walking, operating machinery, and lifting up to 50 pounds in a manufacturing environment.
