Description
The Assistant Attorney is assigned to a trial team and performs attorney duties, including preparing and reviewing accusations, appearing in criminal state court, preparing trial materials and plea recommendations, conducting motions and hearings, researching case law, assisting law enforcement, discussing sentencing recommendations with victims, and drafting appellate briefs and motions. The role requires a Juris Doctorate, membership in the Georgia Bar Association, knowledge of Georgia criminal law and court procedures, and the ability to prepare legal documents and research using computer applications.
