Description
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in the day-to-day operation of a supermarket, coaching and motivating the store team, monitoring stock and orders, preparing staff schedules, handling cash register and administrative tasks, and working on the shop floor from shelf replenishment to checkout assistance. The role involves a varied schedule with early and late shifts, including at least two 6:45 a.m. starts and two shifts ending at 8:30 p.m., five days per week including Saturday, and a 32- or 36-hour week.
