Description
The Head Start Teacher Assistant supports a group of children in a Head Start classroom, assisting with classroom setup, lesson planning, curriculum implementation, child supervision, parent communication, field trips, fire drills, and professional development. The role may assume full classroom responsibility when the teacher is absent and requires a high school diploma or GED, an associate degree or BA, or a CDA, along with relevant early childhood experience and background checks. It is a full-time Monday-Friday position in St. Peter’s Avenue, Bronx, New York, with medical, dental, and vision coverage.
