Description
The Assistant Teacher supports a classroom curriculum and the Lead Teacher by helping children learn, play, and develop through structured activities and positive behavior guidance. The role maintains a safe and nurturing environment, monitors children’s progress, communicates with families, participates in professional development, and follows health, safety, and licensing requirements. A high school diploma or GED is required, while prior childcare experience is preferred; CPR or First Aid certification is required or obtainable after hire. The schedule is 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday, with possible adjustments based on staffing needs.
