Description

The Assistant Telecommunications Engineer will support complex utility and telecommunications projects involving supervisory control and data acquisition, distribution automation, cybersecurity, microwave radio, wireless networks, fiber optics, and smart grid systems. Responsibilities include designing physical pathways, equipment layouts, structured cabling, cable schedules, specifications, drawings, and project deliverables; coordinating with architecture, mechanical, structural, civil, and electrical disciplines; resolving project issues; reviewing construction documents; and supporting construction administration. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or a related field, strong communication and analytical skills, basic telecommunications and engineering knowledge, and familiarity with Revit and Excel; experience with Autodesk Revit, large multidisciplinary projects, and Bluebeam is preferred.
