Description
The Assistant Telecommunications Engineer will support complex utility projects involving SCADA, distribution automation, cybersecurity, microwave radio, wireless networks, fiber optics, and smart grid. Responsibilities include designing telecommunications networks, preparing project deliverables, resolving issues, meeting schedules, coordinating with project teams, and following quality and compliance standards. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field, strong communication and analytical skills, and the ability to develop new approaches to problems; EIT certification, ABET accreditation, a 3.0 GPA, and community or campus involvement are preferred.
