Description
The Municipality of Anchorage is hiring a Traffic Engineer for its Traffic Engineering Department in Anchorage. The role reviews plat reviews, rezoning, conditional use requests, ordinances, site plans, and building and driveway permits; responds to public inquiries; coordinates projects with other agencies; and represents the department at planning, zoning, and appeals hearings. Applicants must meet one of three education-and-experience pathways, hold a valid Alaska driver’s license, and may be eligible for a five percent professional certification pay increase with a valid State of Alaska Professional Engineering license. The position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with alternative 40-hour schedules and possible telecommuting after probation.
