Description
The Associate Actuary - Pricing supports the pricing of requests for proposals across insurance lines by completing experience studies, assumption development, model development, and research and development. The role develops actuarial models in AXIS or R, generates cashflow projections, researches mortality, morbidity, and longevity bases, supports client and business initiatives, and collaborates with pricing, reserving, operations, underwriting, marketing, and corporate actuarial teams. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, relevant pricing experience, four or more SOA exams with progression toward ASA/FSA, mathematical and communication skills, and proficiency with life insurance software; R, Python, Azure DevOps, and French are preferred. It is a hybrid role in Toronto with three office days and two remote days per week, and offers medical, vision, and dental coverage plus a base salary of $119,150-$145,626 per year.
