Description

PwC is hiring an Associate AI Engineer / Data Scientist for its Financial Services Assurance Digital Innovation Garage. The role develops, tests, and maintains data analytics, machine learning, and AI-assisted automation solutions; performs data extraction, cleansing, transformation, validation, and exploratory analysis; supports AI and machine learning prototypes; and collaborates with audit, risk, technology, and innovation teams to turn business and audit challenges into proof-of-concepts or production-ready components. The position requires 1–3 years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technology discipline, and offers work visa sponsorship.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Quantitative Finance, Accounting Analytics, or a related quantitative or technology discipline.
Required Previous Experiences: 1–3 years of relevant experience in data science, AI engineering, machine learning, analytics engineering, intelligent automation, or technology-enabled process improvement.
Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with R
Working knowledge of SQL, data modelling, data cleansing, data validation, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis
Basic to moderate understanding of machine learning concepts
Exposure to generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, embeddings, vector search, retrieval-augmented generation, or AI agent concepts
Experience with analytics, automation, or visualisation platforms
Ability to support solution design, requirements gathering, user acceptance testing, documentation, and handover
Understanding of data governance, privacy, quality, access controls, and responsible AI
Basic understanding of finance systems, accounting, ledgers, data warehouses, audit processes, or financial services datasets
