Cal Poly is hiring an Assistant or Associate Professor in Aerospace Engineering for a full-time, academic-year, tenure-track faculty position beginning approximately August 12, 2027, at the San Luis Obispo campus. The role involves teaching undergraduate and master's-level courses, developing aerospace curricula, conducting externally funded applied research involving undergraduate and graduate students, and serving the department and university. Candidates need a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field, strong teaching and communication skills, and the ability to develop an externally funded research program; industry experience and laboratory-based instruction are preferred. The advertised salary ranges are $110,000-$123,000 per year for an Assistant Professor and $120,000-$134,000 per year for an Associate Professor.
