Description
The Associate Chemist prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques, including GC/MS and semi-volatile organic compounds, while maintaining quality assurance, safety, and laboratory procedures. The role involves sample preparation, chemical analysis, data evaluation, instrument maintenance, QC sample completion, documentation, and laboratory housekeeping. It is a first-shift position with a Monday-Friday or Sunday-Thursday schedule, includes 3–4 months of training, and pays $18–$19 per hour plus a 10% shift differential. A BS or BA in Chemistry or a related field, an associate degree, or two years of related laboratory experience is required; benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) match, paid holidays, and paid time off.
