Description
The Associate Chemist reports to the Manager of the Rubber Application Lab and performs complex laboratory experiments, chemical research, analytical testing, and application development with minimal supervision. The role operates and troubleshoots rubber-processing and testing equipment, conducts qualitative and quantitative chemical and physical analyses, evaluates materials against standards, maintains equipment and laboratory records, supports customers with technical solutions, manages rubber chemical inventory, and follows EH&S, Responsible Care, ISO 9000, and quality-control requirements. A bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related physical science plus at least two years of related industrial experience is required; rubber or adhesives experience is preferred.
