Smarty is hiring an Associate Counsel to support its growing legal function in Orem, Utah. The role partners with In-House Counsel on contracts, risk, compliance, and legal technology, using AI and legal tools to streamline research, review, drafting, and process improvement. Responsibilities include reviewing SaaS and vendor agreements, managing redline cycles, supporting deal cycles, assessing legal risk, and monitoring privacy and regulatory requirements. The position requires a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, U.S. bar admission, and 0–5 years of relevant experience; it is onsite and offers $90,000–$125,000 annually plus health, dental, life insurance, retirement matching, and other benefits.
