Square Enix is hiring an Associate Counsel to support legal matters for its publishing operations throughout the Americas. The role involves drafting, negotiating, reviewing, and interpreting contracts; advising business teams; researching legal issues such as data privacy, AI, children’s safety, and loot boxes; reviewing games and marketing materials for intellectual property and compliance; coordinating with global legal teams; and undertaking occasional business travel. The position requires a Juris Doctor or equivalent, an active United States state bar membership, and at least one year of legal experience, with video game or software experience desirable. The annual salary range is $110,000 to $135,000, with medical, dental, and vision coverage and other benefits.
