Description
The Art Gallery of Ontario is hiring an Associate Curator, Contemporary Art for a regular full-time position in Toronto. Working with the Carol and Morton Rapp Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, the role develops the post-2000 permanent collection, organizes exhibitions and publications, conducts scholarly research, manages loans and acquisitions, advises committees and stakeholders, supports donor and international art-circle programming, administers a departmental budget, and supervises staff. Applicants need a minimum MA in Art History or a similar discipline, extensive contemporary-art knowledge, at least five years of major-exhibition and collection-development experience, at least five years of collaborative museum research experience, and at least two years of curatorial administrative management experience.
