BMO Capital Markets is hiring a Data Scientist for its Data Cognition Team to develop and deploy advanced analytics and machine learning models for algorithmic trading and front-office business decisions. The role involves building predictive models across equities, fixed income, commodities, and foreign exchange; researching time-series and reinforcement-learning techniques; maintaining production machine-learning pipelines; analyzing large datasets; and communicating insights to technical and business stakeholders. Candidates need a Ph.D. in a quantitative field, at least three years of data science or machine learning experience, strong programming and statistical skills, and cloud experience. The position offers a base salary of CAD 90,000–120,000, with health insurance and other benefits.
